As a quilt pattern designer, I design beautiful, modern quilts and write the corresponding patterns so that you can get started with the most beautiful part of this hobby. In my patterns, I have already meticulously worked out all the steps you need to create your work of art. So all you have to do is grab your favorite fabric and get started with the most beautiful thing in the world.
With this website I would like to not only give you a place to stay and exchange ideas, but also the opportunity to find out more about quilting and patchwork and thus grow step by step. In my blog, I regularly publish posts about your favorite topic, but also articles on other topics in the sewing world.
When I was a beginner, I would have liked a site like this. A site where you, as a beginner, are taken by the hand step by step and the colorful world of quilting is explained to you clearly and simply. Today I would like a place where I can exchange ideas in a familiar atmosphere, get help and be informed about all the news in the sewing world. That’s why I created such a place for you, whether you are a beginner or an advanced.
We all started small
A few quick words about me as a person. I got my first sewing machine as a gift for my 12th birthday. Although I already had experience sewing by hand, but the sewing machine opened up a whole new world of creativity for me. My mom, who learned to sew from her great aunt when she was young, taught me the basic machine skills. Back then it was all about sewing clothing.
I sewed my first quilt classically for the upcoming birth of my goddaughter. I designed this quilt myself, even though I had no idea about patchwork and quilting.
But that should have been it for that time. My quilting journey really began many years later, when I sewed my second quilt, another playmat, for my firstborn 5 years ago and came across Barbara’s web shop for quilt supplies. From now on I could no longer be stopped and my ideas no longer knew any limits.
